High-quality furniture can make all the difference when it comes to building a comfortable and productive work environment. For community-based not-for-profit organizations, outfitting their workspaces can be a challenge. We recognize this need and are committed to forming partnerships to help our communities grow closer and stronger. That’s why we are dedicated to our re-use and recycle sustainability policy and work with many of our clients in achieving their net-zero initiatives, especially through our donation programs.

A recent recipient of one donation project is the Huntington Park Police Department. We provided a set of desks, tables, and chairs that are currently being used by Los Angeles County Social Workers working out of the police department.

Furniture donated for the new DCFS Outstation Program at the Huntington Park Police Department

The Huntington Park Police Department has partnered with Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) to better leverage resources and services for the community. Through DCFS’s Outstation Program, HPPD will have two DCFS Social Workers assigned to focus on providing services to the Huntington Park community.

The DCFS Outstation Program targets a stronger partnership with law enforcement and the community; facilitating quicker response and more effective lines of communication. This operational improvement helps provide the most effective services to children and families. One of the primary goals of this program is early intervention to prevent an unhealthy or risky situation, for children, or families, from becoming worse.

Our team is proud to support these important community initiatives and help create a productive workspace for our social workers. Whether we donate furniture pieces outright or manage them through our decommissioning services, we believe that recycling furniture helps the environment, our communities, and the bottom line.

If you are interested in decommissioning services or donating your office furniture, or would like to apply as a recipient of our donation program, contact us.
